**About the role**

The Head, Quality in Credentialling is responsible for leading and coordinating the implementation of procedures for quality assurance of marking and for the alignment of Higher School Certificate (HSC) examination marks to standards and for leading the quality assurance for the various post-results services for schools and students, and for coordinating the Stages 5 and 6 grade monitoring processes.

**On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for**:

- Leading and managing the planning and delivery of critical, highly complex programs, including the HSC Standards Setting Operation and the HSC Anomalous Results Inquiries
- Monitoring and supporting procedures for quality assurance of HSC marking, standards setting and for grade monitoring including training of markers for the HSC examinations and judges for the setting of HSC performance standards
- Advising the NESA on the reporting of student performance in the HSC examinations, including the post-results services and standards-based materials.
- Identifying and enabling improvements to existing quality assurance and reporting tools such as the Results Analysis Package, processes and operations concerning grade monitoring, HSC marking and performance standards.
