The Vehicle Safety Policy and Partnerships (VSPP) Branch is responsible for supporting the regulatory framework introduced by the Road Vehicle Standards Act 2018 (RVSA) and its subsidiary legislation. The RVSA transition team is responsible for the department’s IT system, ROVER (Road Vehicle Regulator), which integrates all activities and approvals under the RVSA legislation. It also provides ongoing technical support to both internal and external users of the system, conducting regular industry stakeholder meetings and identifying areas of improvement for the system.
