An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Security Operations analyst to join Service Stream in our Corporate sector based in Collins St, Melbourne
About the Role

Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time

Location: Melbourne, VIC

Reporting Line: Systems and Security Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

- Investigation and resolution of security incidents.
- Day to day maintenance, support, operation and troubleshooting of security solutions.
- Support and Maintain Splunk infrastructure including Splunk Cloud and Splunk Phantom/SOAR
- Build dashboards on Splunk platform related to security and Automate remediations where possible.
- Liaise with vendors and suppliers for security enhancements, support, and troubleshooting.
- Provide 3rd Level Technical Support for Server and Endpoints ensuring mínimal system downtime primarily during or after a security incident.
- Improve efficiency by automation and scripting.
- Assist in security improvement program by analysing/mitigating vulnerabilities/findings.
- Respond to alarms, triggers and threshold warnings with focus on security and system uptime.
- Reduce security risks (service management & security) and business downtime by configuring, implementing, and managing the infrastructure using SIEM technologies like Splunk

About you:

- Experience and knowledge of known Virtualization technology (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V etc.)
- Experience and knowledge of Identity and access management solutions (e.g. Active Directory, Open LDAP etc.)
- of IT security best practices across multiple platforms and technologies.
- Knowledge of Virtual cloud infrastructure (e.g. Azure, AWS, etc.); and working with native AWS security tool like guard duty, IAM, trusted advisor etc...
- Excellent communication skills (oral, written and listening)
- University degree in cyber security, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or related field required.
- MCSA/MCSE or similar certifications an advantage
