**Our Needs**
As the Security Operations Coordinator you will also be responsible for ensuring the service delivery and operations for Challenger Security in Victoria. It includes monitoring and supervising security teams and staff who provide a range of security and customer service roles for Challenger Security across all client sites. You will also assist in recruiting, training, and developing security officers and teams.
**The Role**
As a Security Operations Coordinator, your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Working in a dynamic fast paced environment that is always developing and requires a flexible and focused work ethic.
- Overseeing the day-to-day security operations for allocated sites.
- Driving and building a customer centric environment amongst your team.
- Assisting with the planning and co-ordination of events.
- Undertaking a variety of people management practices aligned with rostering, shift coverages, leave management, workforce planning and performance management.
- Ensuring your team and sites have the necessary skills and equipment to do their job.
- Ensuring company policies and procedures are followed through, as well as driving a strong safety culture.
- Preparing and publishing professional client and internal reports.
- The ability to act as a relief security officer from time-to-time.
**About You**
To be successful in this role, it’s expected that you'll have the following:
- Valid - VIC unarmed Security Licence (with crowd controller), Senior First Aid and Driver Licence.
- Credentials such as Cert IV in Training & Assessment, Security Risk Management, or Frontline Management will be highly regarded.
- Minimum 2 years proven experience in security operations.
- Strong knowledge of safety and security regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate safety and security information to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address potential risks and vulnerabilities.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Proficient in security guarding practises and standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive change within the organisation.
