This position is designed to attract individuals who have a background or interest in providing high quality support to investigators and lawyers undertaking disciplinary work and suitability assessments in a regulatory context. This will involve overseeing the management of conditions on teachers' registration across VIT, including the processes associated with monitoring and revoking conditions. In addition, the role will be responsible for overseeing other regulatory processes and quality assurance checks for registered teachers. **About the role**
Salary range: $89,004 to $100,984 plus statutory superannuation
Be part of a forward-thinking, risk-based regulator where ideas and opinions are valued. This role will require you to:
- Effectively manage processes relating to conditions imposed on the registration of teachers, including monitoring compliance, analysing and evaluating information, preparing briefs on complex issues, developing recommendations for decision makers and driving continuous improvement initiatives;
- Provide timely, authoritative and accurate advice to internal stakeholders with respect to processes relating to mutual recognition and probity checks;
- Effectively utilise existing business systems to capture incoming information from external sources, including co-regulatory authorities;
- Manage and ensure the accuracy of VIT's Register of Disciplinary Action in line with legislative requirements;
- Provide specialist administrative support to the Branch to assist it to fulfil its role and functions;
- Demonstrate accountability for the achievement of team objectives, in line with VIT's vision, purpose, strategic plan and agreed business plans; and
- Undertake other duties as directed by the Senior Investigator or other senior managers within the Professional Conduct Branch.
**About you**
You will have sound and practical knowledge of conducting risk-based compliance activities or like activities in a regulatory context, including making recommendations for regulatory action and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
