The role will support the Regulatory and Government Relations team in ensuring high quality and insightful analysis and advice to support the company’s position on prioritised Governmental and industry regulatory issues.

This highly-visible role creates value by providing analysis and advice to improve the company's ability to effectively operate in the electricity market. Including reducing risks associated with regulation and providing information and advice to assist the company build confidence and influence with Government and industry.

**You are expected to deliver and demonstrate**:

- Understand the implications of government regulatory and public policy announcements and legislation for the company
- Understand the implication of electricity regulatory initiatives including understanding possible direction of changes regulations being considered
- Engage with industry regulatory teams to understand issues and collaborate on approaches
- Engage with staff of regulatory agencies to share information and influence outcomes
- Contribute to the development of the regulatory strategy
- Work proactively with the broader regulatory team to provide advice and influence to the retail group

- Experience in policy analysis
- Preference for utility experience
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
