Inventory Manager

**Job Overview**:
The **Inventory Manager** will be responsible for overseeing the inventory operations and ensuring efficient and accurate management of stock. Including but not limited to supervising inventory control, order management, stock replenishment, on and off system inventory functions and ensuring inventory processes are optimized to meet business needs. The Inventory Manager will also work cross-functionally with purchasing, logistics, sales teams and other key partners to maintain seamless stock levels, reduce costs, and improve inventory accuracy.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Inventory Control & Management**:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of inventory management, including ordering, storage, and distribution.
- Ensure that inventory levels are optimal to meet customer demand and expectations.
- Manage inventory records and ensure their accuracy through regular audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation of discrepancies.
- Develop and implement inventory policies and procedures to maintain control and prevent loss.
- **Stock Movement & Distribution**:
- Oversee the management of goods within the warehouse, ensuring proper storage, handling, and organization.
- Ensure proper labeling, tracking, and handling of inventory to meet quality and compliance standards.
- **Reporting & Analysis**:
- Generate and present inventory reports, including stock levels, ABC analysis, shortages, and excess stock.
- Analyze inventory data to identify inefficiencies, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as stock turnover, order accuracy, and lead times.
- **Team Supervision & Development**:
- Supervise and manage a team of inventory control staff, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Conduct performance reviews and implement staff development plans to ensure high performance.
- Establish and enforce team safety protocols and inventory handling best practices.
- **Process Improvement**:
- Continuously assess and improve inventory processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.
- Troubleshoot and resolve inventory issues, including stock discrepancies and damaged goods.
- **Stocktake**:
- Develop and manage the stocktake schedule, including coordinating with other departments to minimize operational disruption.
- Organize and prepare the team for stocktake activities, assigning roles (counters, recorders, supervisors) and ensuring appropriate training.
- Review current inventory records and conduct pre-stocktake audits to identify potential issues.
- Lead the stocktake team, ensuring all members follow procedures and work efficiently.
- Oversee the physical counting process, ensuring accuracy and consistency throughout.
- Prepare stocktake reports, summarizing findings, discrepancies, and any corrective actions taken.
- **Compliance & Safety**:
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements related to inventory management.
- Adhere to company policies and industry standards for inventory storage, handling, and reporting.
- Ensure that inventory operations are carried out safely and in accordance with organizational protocols.
**Qualifications**:
- **Education**:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., APICS, CILT) are a plus.
- **Experience**:
- At least 5 years of experience in inventory management, supply chain, or logistics roles.
- Proven experience in managing inventory systems, stock control, and warehouse operations.
- Prior experience in team management and staff supervision.
- **Skills**:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Proficient in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Cello, WMS, TMS) and Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- 3PL Logistic throughput knowledge/understanding
- Reverse Logistics knowledge

**Working Conditions**:
- **Physical Requirements**: Ability to lift up to 20kg, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks in a warehouse or office setting.
- **Environment**: Warehouse and office environments; may involve working in varying temperatures or conditions depending on the inventory.
Pay: Up to $120,000.00 per year
