POSITION PURPOSE
The LD Operator (Transport Coordinator) plays a critical role in ensuring seamless execution of daily transport operations. This position is responsible for accurate planning, booking, and dispatching of deliveries, maintaining close coordination with carriers and internal teams to ensure timely movement of goods. The coordinator directly contributes to the outbound logistics team's productivity and helps meet service expectations for time-sensitive customers.

ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor and report daily dispatch volumes to relevant stakeholders to facilitate operational visibility.
- Liaise with transport carriers and coordinate vehicle bookings based on delivery schedules and CBM requirements.
- Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate planning.
- Maintain and audit transport data to ensure the appropriate vehicle type is used for every dispatch.
- Prepare and communicate transport volume forecasts to carriers for resource planning.
- Book deliveries for time-critical customers and manage urgent transport needs effectively.
- Dispatch delivery orders with precision and maintain accurate booking records within the master file system.
- Prepare transport manifests for outbound picking operations and align with warehouse staff.
- Provide regular updates using Microsoft Office tools to internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct audit checks on CBM and delivery vehicle suitability.
- Keep transport booking records organised and readily accessible for operational review and reporting.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task under pressure
- Demonstrated passion for logistics and supply chain operations
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
- Professional attitude with a commitment to punctuality and reliability
- High level of responsibility, self-motivation, and initiative
- Experience in warehouse or transport coordination (preferred but not essential)
- Experience in report writing and data presentation using Excel and PowerPoint
- Sound understanding of transport and geographical networks (desirable)
- Knowledge of CBM and dispatch planning tools (desirable)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
