**About the Building Commission NSW**
The new Building Commission NSW has been established after the NSW Government recognised the substantial progress made by Fair Trading and the Office of the Building Commissioner in delivering once-in-a-generation reforms of the building and construction industry. The new commission will not only be the industry regulator, but also a collaborator with consumers and industry to ensure standards, capabilities, capacity and resilience continue to be lifted across the sector to deliver quality homes and meet the state’s housing targets.

**About the Digital and Customer team**
- We play a key role in driving the transformation and delivery of the once-in-a-generation reforms, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.

- We are looking for a dynamic Project Officer to join our Digital and Customer focusing on documentation requirements for implementation of building reforms on NSW Planning Portal and Strata Hub.
**To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following key skills**:
- Understanding of the NSW Planning Portal and/or Strata Hub and their roles within NSW Government initiatives, ideally with knowledge of digital platforms for building and construction.
- Experience in gathering business requirements and process mapping, ensuring clarity and alignment with project objectives.
- Proficiency in Jira, Miro Board, and Microsoft Visio for project planning and visual collaboration.
- High-level understanding of building and construction legislation, enabling informed contributions to discussions and solutions.
- Strong collaborative abilities, with a focus on guiding and aligning teams to meet business objectives.
- Proven experience working with complex and diverse stakeholder groups and navigating varied requirements.
- Advanced communication skills across written and verbal channels, essential for clear and effective stakeholder engagement.

**Key responsibilities**
- Consulting and negotiating with diverse stakeholders, within agreed timelines, given their varying expectations, viewpoints, interests and sensitivity of projects.
- Balancing competing demands to ensure objectives are achieved to the required standards, on time and within budget.
- Being flexible and adapting to changes that emerge due to the environment we work within.
