MAURI, part of the George Weston Foods Group, is a leading supplier of high-quality flours, yeasts, pre-mixes, improvers, and grains. Together, we sustainably feed the nation.
We have a great opportunity for an Intake Operator to join the team at our Flour Mill in Enfield. This is a full-time, permanent role (with afternoon and night shifts) and plays a vital role in our supply chain operations.
Reporting to the Production Manager, in this role you will be responsible for the timely unloading of trains and trucks delivering grain, wheat, barley, sorghum and other raw materials for both our Bakery Ingredients and Animal Nutrition divisions, in line with company safety and quality procedures.
After taking samples from the delivery vehicles, you will then be responsible for carrying out the unloading process, in line with company standard operating procedures, and keeping accurate records of deliveries.
You will also be responsible for maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in the working area and raising any equipment maintenance issues, as well as partaking in stocktakes.
Finally, you will contribute to a safe workplace by reporting all risks, hazards, hits and near misses while ensuring that all third-party suppliers comply with company policies.
The role will require weekend work, or extended hours on weekdays, when required.
What you'll bring to the role
This role will suit someone with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and a desire to learn and grow. Experience in a food production environment and a forklift license would be an advantage but aren't necessary.
