**Job Description**:
Your role is part of the Trading Solutions team, which sits within the broader Pricing and Value group.

Pricing and Value, home to some of the best actuarial and commercially astute minds in the industry, develops and manages customer propositions across TAL's Retail, Direct, and Strategic Alliance channels through its pricing capability. The Pricing and Value team is responsible for managing the profitability of our products and hence our overall business, ensuring they meet our business requirements while supporting customer needs.

Trading Solutions' role is to design, build and deliver to its Pricing and Value colleagues the tools they require to do their jobs effectively and efficiently.

As a Trading Analyst, you will:

- Work closely with our IT teams to ensure that our pricing infrastructure meets strict standards and supports TAL's broader technological stack.
- Work closely with our actuaries and product managers to ensure that our pricing infrastructure maximises our commercial opportunities.

As a member of the Trading Solutions team, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing our capabilities:

- to use market data to drive critical insights that feed into our pricing processes.
- with databases to drive the actuarial modelling and visualisations required for effective commercial decision making.
- with data visualisations to enable our team to see the commercial landscape, answer their questions and identify opportunities.
- to solve for an optimal price
- to deliver new pricing structures and values to the market.
- to service our current in-force book

**Qualifications**:
**Essential**
- A degree in actuarial, computer or data science or a mathematical degree.
- Proficiency in Python or C#, R, and SQL.
- A strong track record of thoughtful, innovative and well-executed work.
- Exceptional numerical skills and a love of solving complex business problems.

**Highly Regarded**
- Experience in working with Microsoft Azure databases, AI, machine learning and analytics.
- Exceptional data visualisation skills.
- Familiarity with APIs.
- Experience using Git for version control.
- Experience in life or general insurance, with progression in professional actuarial exams.
- Experience modelling in VP/MS.
