**THE ROLE**

Application Support Analyst role responsible for providing Production Support to critical high-availability financial trading platforms.

Team-based role responsible for ensuring system availability, monitoring, fault diagnosis, and testing/implementation of software releases.

**_Duties include: _**
- Production Support for critical customer-facing IT trading systems.
- Root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
- Incident & Problem Management.
- Non-functional testing and planning for new software releases.
- Capacity planning & performance analysis.
- Involvement in BCP/DR planning.
- Participate in a paid on-call roster (primary & secondary).

**REQUIRED BACKROUND, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, PERSONAL QUALITIES**:
Suitable for an Application / Production Support professional experience supporting critical HA systems with good Linux skills and some scripting abilities (Perl, Python etc).

Ideal for someone interested in financial trading who wants to join a high-profile and respected brand, enjoy a clear career path, and solve interesting problems.

**_The following is required: _**
- Enterprise Application/Production Support background inside critical HA environments.
- Good Linux background - troubleshooting performance issues, network fault finding etc.
- Scripting skills (e.g. Shell, Perl, Python etc).
- Strong understanding of Incident, Problem & Change Management.
- Oracle Database exposure / troubleshooting experience is beneficial.
- Ability to proactively take the initiative to resolve problems.
- Demonstrate logical problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Financial Services experience is beneficial.
- Knowledge of FIX or Financial Trading is beneficial.
- Personality & attitude: works well under pressure; process driven; strong sense of ownership; loves solving IT problems.

**This is a full-time permanent role is located in Sydney CBD (hybrid working available) and is offering $125,000 - 135,000 (including super) + paid on-call allowance - depending on experience.**
