As the QA/QC Manager, you will have overall responsibility of leading and managing all risk and document control activities on site. The key team member will also have a depth of expertise within the resources sector, specifically within major construction projects on the contractor’s side.

Reporting directly to the Project Manager you will have a passion to deliver projects for both complex post award and overall ongoing QA/QC activities for $150m+ projects.

As a key leader in the business, you will be empowered to create best working practices for yourself and your team, to manage the business-critical processes and mitigate risk in a way that facilitates and supports the successful delivery of the project. You will also be required to analyse, develop, and ensure the implementation, operation, and ongoing refinement of a quality system at least equivalent to AS/NS ISO 9001:2000.

The team member that we’re looking for, will come with a healthy 3-10 years’ experience in a construction environment and be able to demonstrate this was achieved in a FIFO setting within the resources industry. Further to that, we are looking for someone that has previous experience in Modular lump sum contracts, that holds a broad knowledge in Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical (Including HV), Instrumentation and tank construction; so, we’re able to maintain our quality assurance in design, development, and construction, which will further cement our reputation as a reliable partner.

**Other Key Responsibilities**
- Always ensuring full compliance to Standards and Client Specifications
- Review of quality records including but not limited to: Material certificates, Letter of Conformance (LOC), Test and Non-Destructive Testing reports, Welding records Inspection reports.
- Preparation and Review of project documentation including Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), Manufacturing Data Reports (MDR), Traceability Registers and other associated quality control documentation.
- Perform inspections in accordance with AUS/NZ inspection standards
- Coordinate and manage welder qualification records, welder repairs and maintain welder repair register.

**To be successful in this role, you will require the following experience, qualifications, and attributes**:

- Have a number one focus on safety
- Able to manager 5+ team members
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Experience with SMP Modular construction.
- Competent in reading and interpretation of fabrication drawings, WPS and ITPs.
- Current recognised welding Inspector qualifications or CSWIP 3.1 or equivalent.
- Excellent written communication and IT skills (including Excel, Word).
- Knowledge of Australian standards relating to structural steel, pipe welding and electrical.
- Solid communication skills to work through issues and negotiate positive outcomes for both sides
- Able to work 3 weeks on 1 week off roster
- Able to undergo a pre-employment medical
- Hold a Section 44
