The primary objectives of the Project Sales role is to ensure consistent sales growth, maintain gross profit, secure potential clients and nurture solid relationships with our clients, consumers & specifiers. This role works closely with the Costing & Estimating teams on all pipeline opportunities.
The scope of the Project Sales role is cross-functional, characterised by strong interrelationship skills with all functions of the organisation. As a senior management position, the role has a high level of decision-making influence in the business.

**About The Role**:

- The role has 3 key functions:

- Cost-planning and design for prospective sales 40%
- Client Relationships and project sales meetings 30%
- Phone calls, project follow-up, Admin, BDM support 30%
- Ensure Margins are maintained and projects costed accurately
- Identify areas of potential sales growth
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained by monitoring Sales & Estimator Assistant/Team.
- Meet with clients to negotiate contracts and projects from post-tender stage through to project award.
- Reassess costs, design & pricing of projects to maintain margins and win work.
- Maintain the Contact Data System (CDS) for recording of all dealings with clients.
- Review and approve project proposals collated by estimating Team
- Provide input into the sales and marketing initiatives and strategies.
- Maintain relationship with prospective architects and engineers to specify product sales.
- Seek customer feedback as to future requirements by product type, volume, technology.
- Monitor customer compliance with their credit policies to ensure the the business is appropriately protected.

**Requirements**:
Skills & Experience
- Substantial and successful construction and consultant sales experience, including at a management level.
- Demonstrated understanding of margin setting and cost budgets, with basic mathematical skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of metalwork or sunscreen and ventilation products.
- Proven high level strategic thinking and management skills.
- A demonstrated sound level of technical competency.
- Excellent high level communication and analytical skills.
- Proven successful team leadership and relationship building skills.
- A proven ability to work co-operatively and maturely in a team environment, and manage staff whilst remaining a team player.
- A demonstrated high level of motivation to succeed.
- A professional attitude and high level of initiative.
- A valid state driver’s license.
