**About the organisation**
The Essential Services Commission is an independent regulator that promotes the long-term interests of Victorian consumers with respect to the price, quality and reliability of essential services. Led by four Commissioners, the organisation develops reports on how markets operate, makes price determinations, takes compliance and enforcement actions, produces audit and compliance assessments and approves new market entrants.

**About the role**
The Chief Technology Officer is responsible for the leadership of operational and strategic IT teams, and will also contribute as an active member of the leadership team within shared services. This includes managing the work within IT teams, providing coaching and leadership for staff, being a technology champion and hands on within the areas of expertise for the role. The CTO will be expected to build organisational technology capabilities, and will be digitally savvy, capable of influencing at all levels of the organisation in order to pro-actively identify opportunities to enhance service delivery.

Your success is premised on your inspiring leadership and building effective partnerships with service providers.
