**The role |**

We are currently looking for an intelligent and enthusiastic full-time or part time Paralegal to join our Sydney office. In this role you will provide both accurate and timely support to the Retirement Villages, Aged Care and Senior Living Team. You will be a confident individual with a can-do attitude, process driven, willing to learn new technology and have excellent communication skills. Ideally you are available to work 4 or 5 days per week with excellent flexibility and in a dedicated team environment. This role would suit a legal secretary looking for a role change or a career paralegal.

**The duties |**
- Drafting notices, demands, and general correspondence
- Drafting statements of claim, possession and other documents
- E-filing of documents
- Assisting with the general management and running of files to meet client service level requirements and protect our clients' interests on all matters
- Telephone calls and general correspondence with clients, and third parties to progress the files
- Regular follow ups of documents, financial status, estate, etc.
- Identifying complex, sensitive and high risk matters and escalating them to a Lawyer
- Basic clerical duties associated with running your files

- Demonstrated ability to use technology and follow procedures/process
- Strong organisational skills to manage a large number of files at a time and meet deadlines
- Good interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, and internal staff
- Keen to learn
- A team player, willing to help others when necessary
- Accuracy and attention to detail
