**Kingston & Partners Litigation Paralegal Job description**

Kingston & Partners is a boutique law firm specializing in mortgage and loan securities law.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal to join our commercial litigation team in our Sydney CBD office. We are looking for a final year law student to join the team as a Paralegal on a full-time permanent basis, with the view to transitioning to be an admitted lawyer.

**Experience we are looking for.**

We are looking for someone with an understanding of core commercial law principles, an ability to manage competing demands effectively and the ability to work in a fast pace, high-performance litigation team.

In addition, you will have:

- excellent organisational skills and an ability to multi-task;
- high level written and verbal communication skills;
- the ability to conduct legal research and initial case assessments; and
- knowledge of Court procedure and protocols.

Knowledge of mortgage and loan securities law and enforcement would be preferred, but not essential.

**Work you will undertake at Kingston & Partners**:
The tasks you will undertake will be varied, and will include:

- preparing briefs to Counsel, legal correspondence and Court documents, compiling evidence and exhibits, undertaking document review and discovery;
- assisting the firm’s litigation lawyers to prepare for Court hearings, settlement conferences and meetings with Counsel;
- liaising with internal and external lawyers, Court staff, clients, counsel, and third parties;
- providing assistance with day to day file and case management; and
- providing administrative support to a team of litigation lawyers.
