Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage APS5 and APS6 Procurement and contracts Officers for a 12-month assignment with potential extension in Geelong.

**About the Role**
The Procurement and contracts officer is required to provide detailed technical, professional, policy, operational support and advice in relation to complex problems. Where required, the role will coordinate and assist in the strategic planning, program and project management and policy development that support the agencies objectives.

- Temporary contract for 12 months, with possibility to extend

It is highly desirable that the successful applicant understand or lived experience in the field of disability.
- Maintaining appropriate records management
- Provide input to the development of procurement training materials
- Support continuous improvements projects where required, including and not limited to, drafting of project documentation, registers etc.
- Manage Conflict of Interest register for procurement staff, including liaising with individuals to ensure that it is completed.
- Work collaboratively with the Procurement Framework team to develop appropriate compliance checking process, and relevant Standard Operating Procedures.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to provide advice and resolve any procurement related compliance issues.
- Manage and deliver procurement related compliance reporting, this includes regular reviews of procurement activities against relevant legislative requirements, the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and the NDIA Procurement Policy.
- APS6 role only - Leadership skills at APS6 work level standard
- Exposure to compliance reporting
- Previous procurement experience ideally in a government environment
- Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills
