**The Opportunity**
The **Leasing Manager** will be a key member of the Property team and provide a critical role in supporting portfolio and lease management across G8’s network of 440+ centres. Reporting to the National Leasing Manager, the **Leasing Manager** will have an essential role in the active management of our portfolio of leases, supporting the effective management of Lessee and Lessor lease obligations, lease renewals, market rent reviews, and commercial negotiations for leases in the execution of network optimisation strategies.
**Your day-to-day**
No two days are the same; this role is diverse, with depth and breadth to cement your career, now and into the future. Areas of core responsibility include:
- Commerical Leasing matters, Network Strategy, Property Management and Reporting and Risk Management. Some of the duties include but are not limited to:
- Research and analyse rental evidence, and draft submissions for market rent negotiations and rental determinations, and undertake regular market research of existing centres undergoing renewal or mid-term market review.
- Implementation of risk mitigation strategies identified within the Leasing / Lease Administration functions.
- Prepare regular reporting and ensure data integrity.
- Maintain strong relationships with landlords as well as property managers, commercial valuers, solcitiors, internal teams and other stakeholders.
- Assist with the acquisition process and negotiation of commercial terms and facilitate lease management lifecycle.
- Support the market review process, including assessment of landlord proposals, compiling comparison data, assessment of prospects of market review, preparation of submissions to landlords and valuers.
- Assist in the execution of the network optimisation and network growth strategies
**About You**

They will be highly anlytical, with the ability to research and analyse data, and provide rationalised recommendations and advice on leasing matters. They will also have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with various stakeholders in a professional manner.
Some of the required skills and experiences to be successful in this role:
- Undergraduate qualifications in Real Estate, Property Economics or similar.
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience and/or working knowledge of commercial property management and/or commercial leasing and/or commercial property valuation.
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience within in a relevant role within the commercial property sector / corporate sector.
- Good working knowledge of commercial leasing and commercial property valuations. Experience in the Early Education sector specifically will be highly regarding however is not critical.
- Proven experience and ability to conduct market research and reviews.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with all stakeholders.
- Flexibility to undertake occasional domestic travel.
