Invasive species are the leading cause of animal extinction and a major driver of environmental
damage. We are looking for a talented fundraiser with 5 years plus experience in NGOs to help make
a big difference for the future of native wildlife and habitat in Australia.

**Position: Fundraising Manager**
**Reports to**:Director of Marketing and Development
**Basis**:Full-time 38 hours (5 days) per week (part time will be considered for

**Location**:Melbourne, Sydney or Blue Mountains are preferred, but remote locations are

f ine also.
**Duration**:Initial one year contract with possibility of extension to a permanent role

and/or increased days per week.
**Salary range**:$ 93,000 - $99,000 plus super, depending on skills and experience

**_Job Description _**

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and passionate environmentalist to join one of Australia’s
l eading advocacy organisations tackling a critical threat to biodiversity - invasive species.

T he Invasive Species Council is on a ten-year journey of growth. To support this growth, ISC is looking
for an experienced, talented fundraiser with 5 years under their belt to work alongside and
c ompliment the skills of our existing, awesome fundraising manager (yes, we will have two. This will
make rapid growth much more fun. Fun is one of 8 core values)

You will be an all-rounder having had success in achieving growth targets in at least three core
fundraising programs, preferably direct marketing appeals, regular giving, mid donors or major
donors. Of these programs you would have managed at least two program areas, with one being
r egular giving.

Y ou will be guided by a strategic three-year fundraising plan and supported by three of Australia’s
best environment fundraisers. You will be involved in a philanthropy training program along with
three other team members to build a major gift powerhouse within the Council. This is a critical skill
to build if we are to protect nature in time.

You will share the delivery of the Invasive Species Council fundraising programs including cash donor
a ppeals, regular giving, major donors, bequests, supporter growth and supporter care programs that
are delivered via direct mail, digital and telemarketing channels.

This role also includes writing fundraising materials, writing reports, analysing program success and
preparing operational planning documents.

**_Key Functions _**
- Delivering the fundraising programs.
- Supporting the Philanthropy program.

- P lanning for and analysing and reporting on the performance of the fundraising programs.
- Writing fundraising and marketing communications.

**_R esponsibilities _**
- Develop and implement the fundraising strategy with the Director of Marketing and

Development and Fundraising Manager, including all fundraising programs
- D evelop annual operational plans for fundraising programs, including acquisition and

retention.
- Manage and develop supporter growth activities, donor acquisition, cash appeals, regular

giving programs and bequests.
- Work collaboratively with the campaign team to build appeal and acquisition cases for

support that best suit ISCs projects and goals for donors at all levels.
- Coordinate the major donor program under the direction of the Marketing and Development

Director.
- A ssist the CEO to develop the quarterly major donor CEO updates.
- Write fundraising materials including direct mail appeals, online appeals and donation pages,
- thank you letters, fundraising related web content and supporter relation correspondence.
- Develop concepts and brief designer on direct mail and digital appeal elements.

- Develop and deliver the integrated Major Donor Direct Marketing Program which includes:

- Adapting direct mail appeals and integrated e-appeals for MD audience;
- R unning the annual report donor care mailing and other donor care for MDs; and
- Event invitations and follow up.
- Mid donors
- Coordinate major donor events (F2F and virtual) including RSVPs, guest speakers with the

support of marketing staff.
- Develop an exceptional journey for new MD or new MD prospects within the portfolio.
- Delegate to and supervise volunteers associated with the fundraising program where
- required.
- Analyse the performance of fundraising programs, conduct reviews and write campaign
- based and annual performance reports to support annual plans.
- Deliver bequest communications and liaise with supporters interested in leaving a gift in

their will.

- Successful delivery of all fundraising programs identified in the fundraising strategy.
