Originating with the drop-in centre, Rough Edges, SJCS also operates Banksia Women, a DV support program for women who are survivors of domestic violence and an education program called Urban Insight. SJCS is committed to empowering individuals through various community-focused initiatives in the Sydney area.

Role Description

This is a part-time (up to 4 days pw), on-site role for a Fundraising and Communications Manager based in Sydney, NSW. The Fundraising and Communications Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies, managing donor relationships including those with schools and churches, coordinating communication efforts, and creating marketing materials. The role also involves organizing events, preparing grant applications, and overseeing the organization's social media presence. Ability to speak publicly, particularly in church contexts is essential.

Qualifications

  • Fundraising and donor relationship management experience
  • Strong communication, marketing, and social media management skills
  • Experience in writing grant applications and coordinating events
  • Creative writing and content creation abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a team environment
  • Proficiency in digital tools and platforms related to fundraising and communications
  • Experience in the non-profit sector or community services is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field
  • Knowledge of the Sydney Anglican eco-system
  • Church membership or regular church attendance
