**Sydney Terminal**
Our Sydney Terminal is located in Botany Bay in Sydney's south east and is one of Australia’s largest container seaport operations. The Terminal is a dynamic 7 day, 24 hour operation. The port environment offers variety and represents an outstanding opportunity to grow as a professional in Australia’s Logistics and Supply Chain Industry.
**About the Role**
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated HR Advisor to join our team at DP World Australia's Port Botany Terminal. This role presents an exciting opportunity to partner with the business, providing expert Human Resources support to ensure the achievement of operational and business objectives. As a pivotal member of our team, you will engage with key stakeholders, including the General Manager Operations, HR Manager, and various department heads, to drive HR strategies, manage employee relations, and contribute to the growth and success of our terminal operations.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Collaborate with senior leaders and key stakeholders to develop and implement people strategies aligned with the terminal's goals. Establish accountability measures to assess HR strategy progress, success of policies, and systems. Deliver timely communications to the workforce on HR matters via various channels.
- Provide comprehensive HR support to employees, offering guidance on HR matters. Ensure compliance with negotiated agreements and policies, leading investigations into potential policy breaches. Facilitate disciplinary meetings and provide documentation as needed. Participate in union negotiations and site committee meetings.
- Support senior leaders in establishing performance development plans aligned with business objectives. Manage direct reports, maximizing performance and personal development. Contribute to consistent performance evaluation practices across the business.
- Lead HR induction training for new employees, including Supplementary Employees.
- Conduct investigations into workplace behaviour or conduct issues and facilitate the outcomes process with line managers.
- Ensure that our Enterprise Agreements are followed in HR strategies implemented at site.
- Ensure the site management team has relevant information and reports available to make people decisions.
- Be a champion for Our Principles and promote employee engagement and positive workforce culture through a range of initiatives in our employee engagement and corporate sustainability programs.
- Lead by example in the execution of safe work practices and ensure compliance with OHS&E statutory requirements
**Experience, Skills & Qualifications**:
- Proven experience in HR advisory roles in industrial or terminal environments.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop direct reports.
- Demonstrated experience in employee relations, performance management, and recruitment.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in managing safety initiatives and promoting a safety-first culture.
- Bachelor's degree in HR/IR, Employment Law or relevant discipline.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate messages to all levels of the business.
- Experience in Oracle HCM highly regarded.
- Well-developed planning and project management skills and demonstrated ability to plan and manage workloads.
