This role sits within the Social Procurement Assurance team who work closely with high value procurement & project teams across the Victorian Government to support and ensure social procurement is embedded and delivering priority outcomes under the Social Procurement Framework. The team has been established as part of Victoria's COVID recovery and prioritises job readiness and employment opportunities for women and young people.
About the role
This critical role will join a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team working across Government to deliver significant social impact through influencing how high value projects are planned, procured and delivered. You will draw on and contribute to the team's social and procurement experience to build innovative solutions and improve performance. Your main responsibilities include:

- Provide strategic advice to high-value procurement activities to maximise outcomes across social and sustainable procurement, including gender equality and COVID recovery
- Contribute to the development and delivery of team processes, specialist tools, templates, analytics and reporting to facilitate the delivery of priority outcomes.
- Work collaboratively across the team to prioritise and manage a caseload of procurement projects as well as service development activities.

About you
You are an influential communicator seeking to further develop your procurement experience within a team delivering significant social impact and change within the Victorian community through strategic procurement.
To be considered for the role, you must be able to demonstrate:

- Demonstrated experience in procurement, that is relevant to the provision of advice in the procurement process and preferably with experience in social procurement.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of team to develop solutions and progress initiatives
- Excellent influencing, negotiation and communication skills leading to productive stakeholder relationships.
- Ability to work independently to plan and prioritise work to ensure outcomes are achieved in a dynamic environment where there are competing priorities.
- Ability to draft accurate and succinct reports, briefings and submissions, identifying key issues and providing well researched options.
- Demonstrated understanding of workforce gender equality challenges
