**About the role**:
Powerlink is leading Queensland’s transition to a renewable energy future through the development of the state’s electricity ‘supergrid’ and connecting Queenslanders to a world-class energy future. As our Indigenous Partnerships Support Officer you will be part of a professional team responsible for ensuring we’re industry leaders in best practice Indigenous engagement and cultural heritage management.

Working closely with First Nations stakeholder across Queensland your role will include providing support within the Indigenous Partnerships Team for cultural heritage assessments and Indigenous partnerships initiatives; liaison and maintaining relationships with Traditional Owner and their representatives, facilitating meetings, presentations and on-site meetings.

You will support the development of new initiatives and opportunities for First Nations partnerships including training, employment and subcontracting opportunities for First Nations communities.

You will spend time working at our project and other business locations throughout Queensland and need to drive an off road 4-wheel drive.
- Your role plays a part in helping to connect Queenslanders to a world-class energy future, as well as being an important contributor to our RAP principles and goals._

**About you**:

- This is an identified position and it is a considered a genuine occupational requirement that the role is filled by an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person._

You have experience in establishing strong relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, their representatives and associated government departments. Your strong knowledge and passion for Indigenous partnerships, cultural heritage and Native Title issues has been utilised in a previous role to deliver community centred outcomes.

You can demonstrate previous successful consultations and negotiations with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander groups, representatives, stakeholders that included presentations, proposals and drafting and implementing agreements and other documents.

Your qualifications will include a diploma or degree in archaeology, anthropology, social science or environmental science or equivalent relevant experience.
