Indigenous Business Manager

**Position open to applicants in WA and QLD**:

**How will I help?**

Indigenous Business Managers are critical to achieving Westpac’s strategy of financial inclusion and well-being for Indigenous Customers. They maintain lasting partnerships with 3rd party referrers and create strong relationships with new Indigenous business customers by acting as trusted advisors.
- Key responsibilities include: _
- Networking and acquiring long-term relationships with external partners, to attract customers from referral flows or competitors
- Delivering excellence in onboarding, particularly the first 100 days to help to build our brand in the market and support the retention of new Indigenous business customers
- Representing the Westpac Indigenous Banking brand in the external market and be advocates for our outstanding service promise, with the aim of growing future Indigenous business and referrals
- Working closely across all our business segments, providing new to bank clients with a warm handover to the appropriate Relationship Manager/Banker
- Collaborating with internal business partners (Relationship Managers, Transactional Business Managers and Equipment Finance Managers) to deliver specialised solutions as required
- Working in partnership with internal stakeholders to ensure the effective management and completion of new lending submissions for new to bank clients

**What do I need?**
- Understanding of the needs and opportunities for our Indigenous business customers, including challenges, trends and the competitive and regulatory environment
- Understanding of the market demographic, business / industries and their financial needs and opportunities
- Understanding of Westpac sales and credit tools and processes
- Understanding of relevant Consumer and Business Banking products and services
- Understand major financial decisions that impact customers, informed by an understanding of balance sheet and customer base measures
- Role accreditation requirements across Westpac Policy, Products, Procedures and Services
