Key responsibilities
- Provide advice and leadership in vendor management processes internally within the function and across the client base
- Lead and manage a small team to deliver quality vendor management support across the department including vendor management reports, vendor reviews, performance management
- Establish and maintain a cohesive and robust vendor management framework to manage relationships with a number of major vendors who provide operational ICT services to the department
- Measure and manage the performance of major vendors against agreed Service Level Agreements, as well as contributing to the development of SLAs for cloud and other 'as a service' services
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors and customers to ensure value for money and low risk service provision
- Work collaboratively with relevant parties to develop improved vendor performance metrics and reporting mechanisms
- Provide a high-level escalation point for the department in relation to vendor performance management issues.
- Foster an equitable and fair workplace ethos through the implementation of management standards and policies, for example, achievement development plans, performance management, training and development, client service standards, workplace health and safety and employment equity.
- Proactively manage the work performance and personal conduct of your staff.
