**About this role**
Are you an enthusiastic **Rail Planner** interested in joining our **Melbourne **Rail Planning team? As a Rail Planner, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects for both public and private sector clients as well as the opportunity to work on projects throughout Australia and overseas. With access to a global community of Rail Planners, you will collaborate with and learn from other driven minds.

**What will I do?**
- You will investigate, advise, and report on Rail Planning matters, support projects and assist the development of the business
- You will be responsible for parts of projects including but not limited to meeting deadlines, monitoring budgets, and meeting financial targets
- You will represent Arup at events, and you may be responsible for designing and delivering events, activities and projects which impact the business
- You may be responsible for providing guidance, training, direction, and feedback to others

**What will I bring?**
- Minimum of 3-5 years relevant industry experience in the Rail industry
- An awareness and interest in major transport issues, emerging priorities, and critical issues, as part of a wider transport planning agenda
- An understanding of operational capacity and performance, including infrastructure, train control and signal systems, rolling stock, timetable planning
- Using advanced Excel and statistical analysis to interrogate and process data to write clear reports and present options and recommendations to clients
- Ability to remain positively motivated and foster team spirit at times of significant pressure, including assisting others to meet deadlines
