**The Team**:
Our Statutory Planning Team within the City Planning and Development Department is a highly a collaborative team working in an agile and fast-paced environment underpinned by our organisational values and a service driven approach.

**The role**:
Our statutory planning team is driven to make great planning decisions, with technical skill, efficiency and an eye for continuous improvement. With Box Hill designated as a Metropolitan Activity Centre, coupled with two Suburban Rail Loop stations, the planning landscape within Whitehorse offers a diverse and dynamic environment to hone your skills.

With a changing planning landscape, we are looking for a planner who can adapt quickly to legislative and process change, and contribute to the upskilling of our less experienced planners, whilst delivering excellent service to all of our customers and community.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

- Managing a case load of planning files in a timely and efficient manner (in accordance with Acts and policies under the Whitehorse Planning Scheme)
- Providing quality advice to applicants VCAT and the broader community
- Report writing as required
- Liaison with a range of relevant stakeholders

**The Person**

To be considered for this position you will:

- Be an experienced Statutory Planner (experience from within the Victorian planning system is preferred);
- Possess relevant tertiary qualifications (Degree in town planning or equivalent);
- Have experience in delivering quality planning outcomes in a timely and efficient manner;
- Be passionate about process and continuous improvement, and sharing your knowledge with others.
- Be driven to mentor and develop less experienced planners and contribute to the outstanding team culture.

Whilst this is seeking an experienced Senior Planner, if you are an experienced Planner who is yet to step up formally into a senior capacity, we want to hear from you and see if your skill set complements our team.
