Significant $350m+ rail, road, and bridge projects
- Recently awarded contracts in VIC, TAS & NSW
- Long term stability and orderbook of projects throughout Australia/NZ
Herrth is proud to partner with a leading Australian contractor who has project exposure throughout the APAC region. After recently delivering (again) positive financial results to their shareholders, they have recently been awarded crucial, and significant in-scope rail, road, and (separately) bridge construction projects in Victoria and Tasmania.
We are looking for Planners with bridge construction and/or rail/road construction experience. Projects are based in Victoria and Tasmania, all $300m+ in value.
Key responsibilities:
- Development and management of Programmes - including contract, target, short-term, and long-term programs. Agreeing on construction methods, identifying procurement activities and quantities
- Prepare detailed project plans for all stages and facets of the project to aid the project in meeting time-driven outcomes
- Identifying risks, planning, and scheduling during the construction phase - conducting wet weather analysis, schedule risk analysis, and establishing risk management procedures.
- Interpret and communicate the essential sequence of activities
- Quantity Take-offs and preparation of Cost Variations
- Preparation of periodic reports of the project including dashboards, histograms, and s-curves to inform Stakeholders, allowing for appropriate project controls and actions.
Experience required:
- 5+ years experience in project planning delivery on large-scale civil construction projects
- Existing knowledge of construction techniques, methodologies, and processes
- Skills and experience in using project control systems and processes, with specific competency in using P6 Primavera.
- Delivery focussed, with a high level of self-motivation and drive to support the overall project
- High-level communication skills, and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a similar discipline.
Due to the critical and city-shaping nature of these projects, and the exposure they will receive from industry, media, and political perspectives - we are open to consideration of applicants with proven (sector, project value, etc) experience in Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Asia, South Africa or EMEA. Sponsorship will be provided by this employer.
As international borders open and the long-term look ahead of infrastructure delivery in Australia is apparent and significant - skilled professionals from overseas are welcome to apply.
