Established in 1997, RFM manages approximately $1.8b of agricultural assets in two investment funds for which RFM is the responsible entity. Assets are located across New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia and Victoria.

**About the opportunity**
We have an opportunity for a permanent Livestock Administration Officer providing administration, bookkeeping and procurement support to the Livestock management team and operations nationally. We are seeking someone to liaise with team members in many locations to reduce their administrative workload and ensure operations can run smoothly. The position is full time however some part time arrangements may be workable and will be considered if requested.
Reporting to the National Manager - Livestock you will:
- Demonstrate a commitment to Safety, Environmental and Equal Opportunity objectives, to ensure your own safety, the safety of others, and a workplace free from discrimination and harassment
- Contribute to a positive and productive working environment by being respectful, precise, diligent, honest and ethical
- Undertake general administration tasks related to the livestock operation
- Maintain accounts payable: processing orders, data entry, invoice coding, allocation and approvals, and reviewing weekly payments
- Maintain various livestock and property records
- Assist in maintaining data in the National Livestock Identification System (NLIS)
- Assist in maintaining Livestock Production Assurance (LPA) systems
- Assist with recording, and reporting farm production and livestock data
- Organise travel and accommodation
- Facilitate procurement/ordering and coordinating delivery/collection of farm supplies
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships
- Research and compare supplier requirements, documentation, and pricing.
**Requirements**:
You will be professionally presented, team oriented, self-directed, have good interpersonal skills, and a friendly disposition. A knowledge of, and interest in livestock or the agricultural industry is preferred. If you hold formal qualifications in business administration or bookkeeping and have a working knowledge of work health and safety requirements, you will be highly regarded.
To be successful in this position, you will require:
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Strong ICT literacy skills and a working knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Good administration and research skills
- A methodical, logical, and practical working approach with the ability to follow guidelines while working autonomously
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to communicate with clients and/or suppliers, and other employees and contractors effectively, expressing yourself in a professional manner and developing a good working rapport.
