Apac Region Manager, Membership

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a bright, positive, self-motivated individual with a strong ability to multi-task to serve as our Region Manager for APAC.

The Region Manager for APAC will be involved in all aspects of the business within the region including technology, marketing, finance, and events. The position is responsible for growing membership, programs, and events in these target markets. The Regional Manager is remote based in Australia.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
**Program Webpages**
- Manage and influence the technology tools within the region.
- Ensure necessary web content is current and suitable for the APAC audience.
- Develop new content in conjunction with MRC APAC Co-Leaders, Board Members, and Community Group. Work with the team to promote all MRC Programs to members and non-members in the region.

**Webinars**
- Support the MRC Webinar Wednesday Program covering APAC sessions, ensuring those delivered by representatives of MRC members in APAC are fit for purpose and of the highest standard.
- Manage delivery of the webinars including planning, securing, and working with speakers, ensuring content is relevant and suitable, management of registrations, reports, administration and working with the MRC marketing team for any required promotion.

**MRC APAC Membership Management**
- Work together with the APAC regional Co-Leaders and Advisory Board to identify opportunities to recruit and engage new members in the region.
- Provide support to MRC members based in APAC and globally as needed.
- Provide new APAC member orientations and Quarterly Business Reviews to ensure the members are engaged and receiving value from the membership.
- Maintain and update membership records and statistical summaries for reporting purposes, using the tools provided, e.g., Salesforce.
- Manage membership retention in APAC and work with accounting to collect outstanding invoices.
- Work with the global membership team to optimize membership structure and processes to serve the global MRC community effectively and efficiently
- Manage the MRC APAC Advisory Board, coordinating meetings, agendas, prep documents, etc.
- Identify opportunities for regional partnerships and speaking opportunities to drive awareness of the MRC and its mission.

**MRC Conferences and Networking Events**
- Support the Events team, Programs team and Conference Committee in producing MRC APAC conferences and virtual events.
- Deliver MRC Connects events in target APAC markets (1 per quarter), including sponsor recruitment and venue management.
- Host networking events and activities as needed.
- Represent MRC at key industry events in the region.

**MRC Community Group**
- Manage and coordinate the APAC Community Group, recruiting target merchants in the region, setting agendas, and ensuring the content is addressing key issues impacting the APAC audience.

**Qualifications, Skills and Education Requirements**
- Proven understanding of eCommerce, fraud, and payment industry
- Strong people skills
- Experience managing programs and events
- Track record of building partnerships and working with large eCommerce brands
- Bachelor’s degree.
- History of successfully delivering projects from start to finish
- Strong experience with Salesforce
- Knowledge of community membership platform (Higher Logic preferred)
- Experience with event management software (Cvent preferred)
- Comfortable public speaking, especially on topics relating to payments and fraud prevention
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced, global environment
- Ability to travel globally up to 75% of the time
- Successful track record working in a team environment, and equally comfortable working on a fully remote team
- Client-facing and customer service expertise, including effective and professional oral and written communication and presentation abilities in a business-focused setting as well as confident interpersonal interaction
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize activities effectively including managing multiple meetings and events at one time
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office program suite
