**About the role**
We are currently seeking a
**Service Manager** to lead our Adelaide service team (approx. 25 plus team members). Reporting to the SA General Manager - Service, this position will be responsible for the overall management and leadership of the service department to deliver a profitable and proficient service that meets the needs of customers.

These outcomes are delivered by building and maintaining a safe and cohesive work environment, adhering to processes that are proficient, and customer-focused, providing a high level of training and knowledge to all staff, and maintaining proficiencies and process optimisation.

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Establishing and driving performance improvement in collaboration with other departments to achieve the dealership proficiency targets and customer satisfaction
- Collaborating with other departments to build and manage customer relationships to understand our customers’ needs in order to deliver to expectations
- Leading team members to create a culture within the Department where personal accountability and a continuous improvement mindset are front of mind
- Leading by example and demonstrating a commitment to a zero-harm safety culture
- Driving and role modelling safe work practices, holding safety toolbox meetings, hazard identification and rectification, maintenance of plant and equipment, completing inspections and leading the WHS committee meetings

**The successful applicant will have**:

- Ability to develop and drive employee performance in the service department
- An extensive track record of top service department performance
- Strong leadership experience in building a positive team culture
- Preferably from an automotive industry
- Desire to lead and deliver exceptional customer service
- A high level of personal commitment to safety and compliance with safety requirements
- Superb interpersonal skills, particularly in motivating teams and creating a positive working environment
