Reporting to the Group Treasurer, the role is based out of our global head office in Clayton.

Managing a team of six, you will provide a balance of hands-on leadership with longer term strategic planner with other business leaders.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Define the payroll strategy to meet the evolving needs of DuluxGroup’s Australian and New Zealand operations
- Identify and implement improvement initiatives to streamline payroll processes
- Drive efficiencies across the payroll team
- Drive a centre of excellence culture
- Sign-off payroll processing in line with DuluxGroup procedures
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll responses and processing within defined deadlines
- Provide timely and accurate payroll operational reporting
- Deliver payroll services in accordance with all Australian and New Zealand legal requirements including Modern Award, Enterprise Agreement, and Individual Agreement
- Comply with legislative requirements in respect of PAYG, FBT, payroll tax and superannuation
- Drive ongoing reviews of the payroll system to identify risk areas, implement controls to minimise underpayments and to ensure ongoing wage compliance

**What you will bring and develop**:
You are resilient and understand market best practice and strive to constantly improve the customer experience. You work collaboratively with a diverse group of stakeholders and implement initiatives driving team efficiencies. Ideally you can demonstrate:

- Experience in end-to-end payroll activities
- Sound understanding of, including but not limited to, Legislative payroll requirements, Modern Awards, Industrial Agreements, the Fair Work Act (AU) and the Employment Relations Act, Payroll accounting, Workers’ compensation SAP/ Success Factors system
- Experience managing, leading, and motivating a team of payroll advisors
- Ability to work in the large and complex environment
- Awareness of industry trends and changes in legal requirements
- Proficiency in excel and ability to deal with complex data
- Tertiary qualified
