Exciting opportunity to join a start-up development group as the Head of Sustainability.

**Your new company**
My client is an exciting start-up development group, specialising in the Build to Rent who are now seeking an experienced Head of Sustainability to join their team on a permanent basis. This organisation’s projects are uniquely designed to create positive change in the Australian housing market, incorporating impact housing and targeting zero carbon emissions.

**Your new role**
As the Head of Sustainability, you will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and maintaining our clients long term environmental objectives within a building property services environment. With 6 key projects already secured with an estimated value of $200M - $300M per project (five sites based in Victoria and one in Sydney), you will be responsible for the following:

- Assist with the development of sustainability/NABERS improvement strategies
- Develop and manage cost effective solutions to reduce and optimise the consumption of energy and water
- Provide Green Star advice and management
- Provide building optimisation advice and develop sustainability strategies
- Provide building optimisation advice and develop sustainability strategies
- Manage Environmental Risk Factors for minimisation of risk to the client

**What you'll need to succeed***
- Degree qualifications in Environmental Management, Engineering or Property with extensive experience with sustainability management
- Superior knowledge of Green Building and NABERS requirements and energy reduction
- Highly competent in Energy Management, Environmental & Waste Principles/ Practices;
- Strong working knowledge covering energy audits, Net
- Zero / Greenstar ratings and reports
- The ability to maintain high professional standards of service and meet all client deadlines
- A proactive and client focused approach with excellent communication and negotiation skill
- An understanding of recycled aggregate /design process is essential
