Talent International is searching for an experienced **Technical Content Specialist** to join our client, a large utility. This role is based in **Fortitude Valley** on a contract basis for 12 - 18 month + likely extensions.

**About the role**:
**Responsibilities**:
Ensure valuable technical documents are discoverable through correct and appropriate classification in line with Digitisation Framework and Classification Taxonomy.
- Provide guidance and advice to the Information Management team on what historical technical documents are valuable and hold potential future use by technical teams (Engineering, Dam Safety, Capital Projects, Operations)
- Ensure classifications applied are fit for purpose, practical and meaningful for their intended technical audience, to enable records to be easily discovered and re-used
- Manage the pipeline of work, ensuring throughput is maintained in line with planned timeframes, and deadlines are met.
- Escalate unresolved issues to the Strategic Information Manager.
- Work in collaboration with both the Information Management team, and with Records Management providers, who hold historical records in offsite storage.
- The Technical Content Specialist may be required to occasionally work offsite at our Records Management provider's premises at Willawong.
- This role may be undertaken on a part-time basis - either part-days or part-weeks.
- Due to the nature of this work in assessing historical technical records, while there is some capacity for remote work or work from home, it is expected that for the majority of time, this role will need to be onsite at the usual office or offsite at our Records Management provider's location.

**Requirements**:
Technical
- Working knowledge of one or more technical disciplines, being Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical), Geology, Hydrology, Digital Engineering (Drafting)
- Sound working knowledge of document lifecycle processes in an asset intensive construction and maintenance environment

Qualifications/Experience
- Desirable: knowledge of or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of the water resources industry, water resources asset management and operations
- Desirable: Tertiary qualifications in one of the technical disciplines
- Self-motivated, and ability to work independently to tight deadlines
- Flexibility and adaptability; able to work in ambiguous situations with resilience, tenacity, and a propensity to persevere.
- To be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others, with an ability to build consensus.
- Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, to deliver effective outcomes and manage change
- Relationship management skills including the ability to consult, network, liaise and negotiate with a wide range of stakeholders
