What you'll do
- Lead a virtual Problem Management Team in accordance with the approved Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) Problem Management process.
- Ensure compliance and optimal performance of enterprise service levels by managing and performing the dissemination and implementation of policies, processes and standards for technical configuration of the enterprise infrastructure.
- Optimise costs of service delivery by designing and developing improvements in particular technology domains within the enterprise infrastructure.
- Provide high level research and advice regarding emerging technologies to enhance the effectiveness of system design, management and support.
- Manage and contribute to the development, publication, implementation and compliance to technical policies, standards and procedures at an enterprise level.
- Provide third level support and technical leadership across the branch.
- Maintain and manage effective working relationships and engage with third parties that provide technical support for the enterprise infrastructure.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
- Proven ability to participate in and/or lead a highly skilled technical team providing high-level technical direction, standardisation and support of enterprise infrastructure in a large customer focused organisation. (SFIA Code: ARCH 5) (NHS: Leading Change through People)
- Proven high level understanding and working knowledge of relevant technical domains (SFIA Code: TECH 5) ;
- Enterprise monitoring tools techniques and practices, including the SNMP protocol;
- Microsoft SCOM, Splunk and/or Solarwind working experience.
- Previous experience with SNMPC, HP OpenView Operations (OVO) and/or other Network Monitoring software will be well regarded.
- Demonstrated high level analytical, conceptual and problem management skills with a proven record in the assessment and evaluation of technical requirements and systems within a complex information and communication technology environment.
- Demonstrated experience in promoting and ensuring the use of appropriate techniques, within the technology sphere, to provide 3rd level support (SFIA Code: ARCH 5; METL 5; DESN 5).
- Proven ability to manage and contribute to the development, publication, implementation, quality assurance and compliance to technical policies, standards and procedures at an enterprise level (SFIA Code: CNSL 5; EMRG 5, QUST 4; CORE 3; QUAS 5).
- Demonstrated experience or the ability to quickly learn HP OpenView Service Centre application and ITIL Service Management processes, primarily Incident / Problem / Change / Configuration management. (SFIA Code: PBMG 5; CHMG 5; CFMG 5)
