**The role**:
Due to newly awarded project, Symal are looking for a robust Environment & Sustainability Manager to jump on board a team that will be based in Mount Fox, 2 hours outside of Townsville, delivering an innovative energy project.
This role in particular will be a FIFO role on a 2:1 roster.
**Your impact**:
The experience you bring will ensure that Symal leaves as little an impact as possible to the surrounding environment.
**Your every day**:
- Developing and lead the maintenance of environment and sustainability management systems across the project.
- Managing environmental incident response and investigations ensuring all potential risks are mitigated, on conjunction with the wider HSEQ team.
- Providing environment and sustainability guidance and ensuring there is a consistent approach to compliance across the project.
- Liaising with and working closely with the wider delivery team to implement and manage environmentally friendly and sustainable risk management controls, ensuring regulatory and legal obligations are met.
- Working closely with the client and government bodies on related environmental matters on the project.
**Who are you?**
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Earth Science, Environmental Sciences or equivalent.
- Post-graduate qualifications in the environmental field and / or project management is highly regarded.
- ISCA Sustainability Accreditation (desirable)
- Approximately 5-10 years with relevant experience in HSEQ within the construction industry.
- Cert II Erosion and Sediment control (Green card - or equivalent)
- Willingness to work away from home in a camp environment.
