**About the Role**
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and experienced Associate/ Environmental Consultant with 8+ years’ experience to join SLR’s Environmental Assessment & Management discipline in Perth.

- You will work very closely with our multidisciplinary consultants in the new Perth office, and with the wider Environmental Assessment & Management team across APAC to deliver quality Environmental services to our WA, National and International clients.**About us**

**Job tasks & Responsibilities**
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside industry leaders across the region and provide you with support for your technical growth within the wider SLR team. You will work with and provide integral support to the Perth EA&M Team Leader across a range of industries including renewables, mining, infrastructure and built environment.
- With a passion for Environmental Assessment & Management, you will work with likeminded individuals, whilst enjoying excellent career opportunities across a range of industry sectors. As a self-starter, you will be able to display confidence and high-level project management, tenders/proposals preparation and reporting.**Skills & Experience**
- A professional qualification in environmental science or engineering or other relevant degree
- Proven capability in environmental impact assessment and permitting under the Environmental Protection Act 1986 and Environment Protection and Biodiversity Act 1999.
- Experience gaining approvals under the Planning and Development Act 2005, Mining Act 1978, Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016 and Rights in Water and Irrigation Act 1918 will be highly regarded.
- Experience in social impact assessment and community engagement will also be highly regarded.
- The ability to analyze and interpret situations and problems and develop appropriate solutions
- A high level of commercial acumen and proven success in developing winning proposals and client relationship management
- Proven project management experience
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven report writing skills, high computer literacy
- Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivated and with the ability to work effectively within a team
- Excellent driving history and hold a current driver's license
- Australia Citizenship or rights to work in Australia
