About the Business and Role
SLR Consulting is an employee-controlled international environmental consultancy with a globally recognised reputation for providing high quality tailored services. With offices throughout the Asia Pacific, Europe, North America and Africa regions, SLR Consulting is one of a very small number of leading international specialist environmental consultancies.

Our team has a genuine interest in developing practical and sustainable solutions for our clients and reducing the environmental impact of our own operations. For example, SLR has recently committed to being a climate-neutral business by 2030 and adopting the Science-Based Target Initiative’s (SBTi) “Business Ambition for 1.5°C” framework to set emissions reduction targets and drive our climate action plan.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and experienced Contaminated Land Consultant to join SLR’s Land Quality and Remediation discipline in Perth. We’re looking for a like-minded individual who enjoys working with an enthusiastic, committed, and fun-loving team, is a good listener, and enjoys solving issues for clients.

Key Responsibilities
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside industry leaders across the region and provide you with the support on your technical growth within the wider SLR team. With a passion for contaminated land management, earth sciences, contaminated hydrogeology, or civil/environmental engineering, you will work with likeminded individuals, whilst enjoying excellent career opportunities across a range of industry sectors. As a self-starter, you will be able to display confidence and high-level project management, tenders/proposals preparation, data analysis and interpretation, and reporting. Additionally, you would be expected to work with the team to identify opportunities for growth, leading with team resourcing and development, and act as a professional role model for staff across the team with a caring and compassionate nature.

Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have:

1. A professional qualification in environmental science or engineering or other relevant degree and circa 6-10+ years professional experience in consulting or similar industry role.
2. Proven expertise in environmental and contamination management (soil and groundwater), including remediation and soil science, preferably within the development, mining, and oil & gas sectors.
3. Strong analytical skills to assess complex environmental challenges and develop effective, efficient solutions.
4. A high level of commercial acumen and proven success in developing winning proposals and client relationship management.
5. Proven project management experience.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. Proven report writing skills and high computer literacy including data management and manipulation.
8. Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivation and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
9. Excellent driving history and hold a current unrestricted driver's license.
10. Australia Citizenship or rights to work in Australia.

Our Benefits
We are proud of our unique culture where we work together to collaborate on projects to get the best possible outcome for our clients. Whether you’re working in the office, from home or a mix of the two, we recognise that every person is different, and our benefits aim to ensure that we cater for all.

Next Steps
We make hiring decisions based on your experience, skills and passion. Please note that interviews are conducted with gender diverse interview panels to the best of our ability. When you apply, please tell us the pronouns you use and any reasonable adjustments you may need during the interview process.

Unsolicited resumes from recruitment consultants will not be accepted. You must be part of the preferred supplier agreement list which is coordinated through our Talent Acquisition team.
