**About the Position**

A Residential Care Officer is a full-time position at Sovereign Lives which supports NDIS participants in Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) or Supported Independent Living (SIL) settings. They provide personalized care, assist with daily activities, and promote independence for residents with disabilities. The role involves fostering a safe, inclusive environment in well-designed homes and collaborating on tailored support plans.

**Reporting to**:
This role reports directly to the **Operations Manager**

**Tasks and Responsibilities**
- Assess the participant's needs and assist them in planning and accessing health or welfare supports.
- Guide support workers about the welfare needs of the participants.
- Liaise with allied health professionals for matters relating to the health and welfare of the participants.
- Participating as required in training and development courses relevant to the service.
- Participating in and actively contributing to staff development reviews.

**Qualifications, education, experience, and abilities required**:

- AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in the relevant field.

**Experience required**
- One year of relevant experience.

**Essential Skills**
- Strong communication skills.
- Proactive and passionate about supporting people with disability
- Team player
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision

**Hours**:
The employee’s ordinary hours of work are 38 hours each week as per weekly schedule, including allowed meal and refreshment breaks.

**Job summary**

Pay: $76,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
