**About the role**

We have a rewarding opportunity for a Project Officer to join our program in partnership with Loop Upcycling. This program supports refugee and migrant women by providing diverse employment and training opportunities withing Loop. This project empowers women with barriers to employment to utilise their existing skills and build confidence for future opportunities, helping them rediscover a sense of purpose and fulfilment.

In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering person-centred support with empathetic communication. You will foster a culturally safe and welcoming environment where women feel empowered to learn, grow, and participate. Using a wrap-around, tailored approach, you will support and encourage women to achieve their goals.

**About you**

You’re a compassionate and dedicated professional who is resilient and committed to supporting a diverse community of women. With strong relationship-building skills that foster trust, empathy, cultural sensitivity, and respectful communication, you’re passionate about helping and empowering women to feel valued and connected to their community. Confident in navigating complex support systems, you take a proactive, solutions-focused approach to overcoming barriers. With strong organisational skills and a person-centred mindset, you’re ready to make a meaningful impact in the lives of refugee and migrant women.

In addition, you will also possess:

- A bachelor’s degree in human services filed or similar (highly desired)
- Experience working with vulnerable communities
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice, intersectionality, and the challenges faced by refugee and migrant women
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage across cultures
- Driver’s license
- Working with Children Check (WWC)
- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
