Purchasing role in large public sector organisation - immediate start
Your new organisation

This well recognised Government Trading Enterprise is seeking a Purchasing Officer to join them for an initial 6-month temporary assignment with potential for extension or permanency.

Your new role

Within this position you will be responsible for the sourcing, purchasing and expediting of goods and services for the wider business. Duties and responsibilities would include:

- Review and checking of purchase orders prior to release
- Provision of procurement and purchasing support to business areas
- Initiate the establishment of catalogues
- Supplier liaison to ensure satisfactory performance
- Provision of training on the use of ERP modules

What you’ll need to succeed

In order to succeed, you will have prior knowledge of purchasing procedures and practice as well as well developed interpersonal skills and the ability to develop competing priorities.

What you’ll get in return

In return, you will be given the opportunity to work in a large organisation for an initial 6 months with many internal opportunities after that. In addition, working from home and start finish flexibility is offered, as well as an hourly rate of between $46 - $58 per hour + superannuation.
