**Your Role**:
The Principal Corporate Services Officer will be responsible for:

- ensuring sound financial management and operational activities for the Capability Branch and Education Futures Institute in line with divisional and departmental accountability standards;
- delivering a range of financial corporate services, including budget profiling and reporting, operational financial activities such as journals, SAPA schedules, monthly accruals, invoice payments, purchase order management, cost centre maintenance;
- supporting branch purchasing and procurement activities and provide oversight as the designated purchasing delegate;
- providing strategic and operational advice and support to the Capability Branch leadership team;
- contributing to the preparation of complex reports, submissions, briefing notes and corporate correspondence where relevant;
- The Principal Corporate Services Officer reports to the Manager, Governance & Implementation, Capability Branch.

**The ideal applicant will**:

- have developed skills in finance and purchasing/procurement activities, preferably within a public service setting;
- have high-level written and oral communication skills and be able to engage with a wide range of internal and external high-level stakeholders;
- be able to work in a fast-paced environment, bring high level skills in problem solving, prioritisation and managing competing demands in a timely manner;
- enjoy working within a diverse team to deliver outcomes and make a positive impact in education.
