**Our Client **is a highly successful** **Sydney-based Australian women's online fashion boutique. Reporting into the CEO this role is responsible for the strategic development, performance and continuous improvement of the buying division of the business. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** - Developing and communicating the strategic buying and product vision for St Frock taking into consideration customer data and market trends in order to maximise revenue and profit by prioritising "her" needs/wants. - Leading the Buying and Product team by clearly and regularly communicating their vision and direction, translating it into tactical plans and processes that efficiently deliver on the strategy. - Work closely and collaboratively with the Buying team to forecast, select and develop product ranges utilising a strong "eye" for product and range development in order to capitalise on product opportunities, seasonal and market/consumer trends that result in commercial ranges for the business. - Actively coaching for improvement of their team - developing the skill and knowledge required for timely succession planning and development of their direct reports. - Driving performance improvement of individuals in their team and managing poor performance effectively as required. - Creating a culture of empowerment amongst the team through strong and inspirational leadership; identifying individual strengths and opportunities and implementing tactical plans with HR to promote strengths and bridge capability gaps. - Championing product innovation and creating forums and opportunities for teams to contribute their ideas in order to achieve collective success. - Establishing and maintaining a competitive pricing strategy. - Leading strong partnerships with Supply base through regular communication and interaction, ensuring each relationship aligns with St Frock's core values and holding supply partners accountable to meeting the margin, delivery and quality expectations of the business. - Undertaking buying, and sourcing trips as required. - Overseeing the OTB and resulting seasonal plans. - Ensuring product plans and campaigns align to the Marketing Calendar. - Regularly liaising, collaborating and providing support to all other departments with the buying process and related issues to drive cross-functional efficiency's and improvements. - Collaborating with the Senior leadership team to make regular product promotional/marketing decisions based on weekly/monthly sales results. - Conducting product presentations for the wider teams to gain buy-in and ensure all representation of product is aligned with the agreed seasonal product direction. **SKILLS** - Strong influencing and negotiating skills, particularly with suppliers and manufacturers. - Exceptionally strong Excel and Google Sheets skills. - Strong analytic skills - ability to analyse reports to make sound commercial decisions. - Strategic and commercial. - People management and leadership. - Excellent verbal, written & interpersonal communication skills. - Ability to prioritise and effective time management. - Managing budgets and OTB. **PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES** - Collaborative - builds great relationships internally and externally. - A genuine love, borderline obsession with fashion. - Numerate and analytic. - Excellent attention to detail. - Loves bringing out the best in others and setting them up for success. - Naturally takes ownership of results and proactively drives improvement. - Has a strong work ethic that is committed to delivering results. - Empathetic. - Customer-oriented to the extreme
