Your new employer is a successful Australian business that have been in operation for over 50 years. They have been leading a niche market in providing the building & construction industry with a range of high-quality products and have continued to grow due to their strong market share & a loyal, stable and growing client base. Due to this growth and an appetite to promote internally, they are currently in the market for an Assistant Manager to provide leadership, guidance and support to the branch, staff and manager. This is a permanent opportunity based in their Bayswater branch with onsite parking and various perks and the opportunity to grow and progress your career.
**The Role**
Reporting to the Branch Manager your role will be fast paced and customer centric, responsibilities will include:
- Provide leadership and guidance for the branch and staff
- Support Branch Manager across various deliverables
- Provide exceptional customer service (via phone and face to face counter sales)
- Liaise with Trade and Retail Customers
- Maintain showroom & stocking levels
- Administration tasks
**Preferred Experience**
- 3-5yrs experience in a similar role or as store or office manager, department manager etc.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Commitment, energy, drive, initiative and passion with a pleasant and willing to help attitude
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks efficiently and meet set deadlines
- Developed computer system and administrative skills
- Have own Car and Current Drivers Licence
- Forklift license advantageous
- WHS Awareness
