**The Opportunity**

The Analyst - Information Management will assist the IM Consulting Lead within Information Management in providing the business with a high-quality estimation, consulting, and advisory service. You are passionate about data and the opportunity it provides to the organisation and you will cultivate an understanding of Medibank datasets and how they can add value to the enterprise.

The role involves gaining a good level of understanding of the Medibank business and how data can be used to solve business problems and create opportunities for the business.

**Key Responsibilities Include**:

- Document high quality data requirements documentation that are approved and accepted by business sponsors
- Work closely with Information Management Architecture, Data Governance and Support to ensure proposed solutions adhere to data governance standards
- Review business requirements as received and provide feedback to ensure completeness and adequacy of the requirements to provide meaningful and accurate estimates for Information Management delivery.
- Understand the internal customers’ business processes, identify opportunities and provide effective cost-saving and efficient solutions.
- Understanding business strategy and influencing alignment of Information Management strategy with business strategy.
- Assist the business areas in developing a deeper understanding of Data Management developments in the industry and how to best leverage data technology roadmaps to deliver on business vision.
- Be a point of contact for all business forums to assess and advise on new Medibank PPO initiatives
- Work with IM management and business stakeholders to ensure business impacts and opportunities from data related changes are well understood and managed appropriately.
- Ensuring that stakeholders of the Medibank IM function are kept informed of any impacts from scheduled releases or environment changes.
- Pro-actively manage stakeholder expectations

**About You**

You can demonstrate experience in hand on skills in defining data requirements and performing analytical activities/report prototyping as well as technical knowledge of Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, Reporting technologies and Cloud Solutions.

You possess strong quantitative and analytical skills, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills and your background includes tertiary qualification in Information Technology, or equivalent experience in a related business.

Experience and/or skills that are not ‘must have’s’ for this role but will set you apart from the field include experience in business partnering or consulting, utilizing a services orientation and a strong demonstrable customer focus, working experience on a Cloud technology and Medibank or private health experience and knowledge. Other desirable experience/attributes include SAS, Microstrategy and Tableau experience and ALEX solutions knowledge.
