About us As a department our purpose is to help the community to prevent, prepare for, respond to and recover from the impact of fire and emergency events. Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) is the primary provider of fire, rescue and emergency management programs and services throughout Queensland. The department encompasses the Fire and Rescue Service, disaster management services, the Rural Fire Service and the State Emergency Service, and also supports other volunteer groups providing emergency response to Queenslanders. QFES is one department with many services, many capabilities and many partners. Purpose of the role Procurement Services leads the organisational procurement and travel functions, and is responsible for the procurement governance, sourcing, support services, and management of specialised equipment, general goods and services, fleet and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) procurement contracts, standing offier arrangements and panel arrangements in compliance with Queensland procurement policy and Queensland Government Contract Management Framework. Reporting to the Principal Procurement Officer, you will oversee and manage the delivery of QTravel system support services and undertake travel data maintenance activities in support of travel needs and requirements. As the designated QTravel Agency Administrator, you will work collaboratively with departmental travel coordinators, staff, volunteers and other stakeholders to achieve best practice travel activities to meet organisational objectives. In addition, you will provide administrative support services and undertake low complexity procurement activities. Key requirements Highly desirable requirements - Training and experience in QTravel System and Helpdesk services. - Queensland Government Level 2 Purchasing Certification or equivalent. Your key accountabilities Your part in the ongoing success of our department, in supporting frontline services will see you responsible for a variety of work, including, but not limited to: - Oversee and coordinate the QTravel System and associated financial and data maintenance activities, including monitoring for issues, usage and performance, in support of organisational travel and system requirements. - Provide advice to facilitate travel coordination by staff and volunteers, and ensure adherence to travel policy and departmental objectives are achieved. - Oversee and manage the delivery of day-to-day Travel Helpdesk services for quality, accuracy and timeliness of responses, and escalate system performance indicators and issues, and/or reports as required. - Participate in and contribute to whole-of-government working groups regarding travel administration to ensure best practice processes are achieved. - Contribute to the development, review and implementation of travel policies, procedures, and processes to ensure adherence to the departments policy position. - Liaise and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure travel support services are responsive to current and future needs. - Provide administrative support and undertake low risk procurement and contract management tasks, as required, and ensure positive outcomes to meet client and stakeholder objectives. - Contribute to a cohesive team environment by sharing information, supporting and assisting colleagues in a proactive manner, including to resolve issues or provide recommendation for improvement.
