Compliance Coordinator required for large scale commercial project in Sydney CBD

This leading construction company specialise in construction across all sectors including infrastructure.
**Your new role**
The Compliance Coordinator is responsible for the onsite implementation of the HVNL and section 13 Work Related Road Safety of the Sydney Metro PC Health & Safety Standard.
Based on site of a large commercial project in Sydney CBD your responsibilities include:
**Veyor Management**
- Stop all heavy vehicles entering site and ensure that all drivers have either a CoR compliant booking or complete the unscheduled arrival questions.
- Train and manage the traffic controllers to ensure that they assist with the CoR questions should more than one vehicle turn up at the same time.
**Frequent Heavy Vehicle Compliance**
- Ensure that all frequent heavy vehicles entering site meet the Sydney Metro Frequent Heavy Vehicle Safety Requirements.
- If a frequent heavy vehicle does not meet the Sydney Metro Frequent Heavy Vehicle requirements, then advise the driver that they do not meet the requirements and the vehicle will be banned from site.
- Update the frequent heavy vehicle register weekly and notify subcontractors (via Aconex) who are using non-compliant frequent heavy vehicles.
- Reject non-compliant FHV that have been verbally and formally advised if they attempt to enter site with a non-compliant heavy vehicle.
- Subcontractors are to provide you via Aconex proof that the vehicle has had the safety equipment installed and made FHV compliant.
**Vehicle Registration**
- Update the vehicle register monthly to flush out any vehicles that are incorrectly being uploaded to Veyor as non-heavy vehicles.
- Rectify Veyor and update any subcontractor information
**Heavy Vehicle Safety Compliance**
- Manage the traffic controllers to fill in the Heavy Vehicle Compliance Tracking Register and periodically check that all information is correct.
- Issue the completed register to Sydney Metro at the end of each month
**Load / Unload Procedure**
- Ensure that they are being completed correctly for all heavy vehicles that are loaded or unloaded on site.
- Report breaches in heavy vehicle management, CoR, or the load/unload procedure to the Project Manager, Site Manager or Safety Manager
- Provide input into the Sydney Metro Monthly report for Chain of Responsibility Reporting
- Lead the discussion on CoR performance from a site perspective in the team construction meetings in terms. Bring evidence from Veyor to show performance and illustrate where improvement is required.
- Attend subcontractor CoR audits to assist the team as required.
**What you'll need to succeed**
You will need previous experience within a similar role within the Construction Industry.
**What you'll get in return**
This is a 12-month fixed term contract initially, with the potential to extend depend on project requirements. Excellent salary of up to $180,000 package.
