Outdoor Events and Film Coordinator, Public Sector, 5 Month Contract full time
**Your new role**

The Outdoor Events & Filming Coordinator is the primary point of contact between Hirers and the City, providing guidance and coordination throughout the approval process for events, filming and other activities that take place on the City’s land, in line with legislation. The duties will include providing advice to internal and external parties regarding permissibility of certain activities and infrastructure for these street events, liaison with government and non-government stakeholders and manage the issuance of final event activity approvals relevant to the delegations of the role.

Key Tasks:

- Coordinate necessary event / activity / filming elements in order to provide approval, including stakeholders consent, engagement of internal / external services and resources, risk mitigation, stakeholder management, and other relevant site-specific factors.
- Manage the financial aspects of the customer's event, including calculating final charges; providing accurate invoices; following up outstanding balances; and ensuring that bonds/payments are received and finalised in the system.
- Managing the complexity and ambiguity of each event / activity / filming in a consistent manner, throughout the approval process, within a legislative context.

Essential:

- Practical experience in managing / approving activities in the public domain including filming and / or events, as well as an understanding of the event industry and requirements for event related road closures.
- An understanding of the compliance requirements of major outdoor events including risk management, safety plans, traffic management plans, and the ability to identify risks and mitigation actions.
