**Our Client**

They’re looking for a self-motivated individual with exceptional organisational skills who can join the team as an Accounts Officer.

**Description**
The Accounts Officer is primarily responsible for the establishment, recording and processing of all tasks relating to debtors and creditors for the business. Reporting to the Accounts Supervisor your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Preparation and processing of client billing as required
- Process GST compliant invoices and credit notes
- Generate payments for all creditor invoices each week ensuring that payment of invoices is actioned by due date.
- Process manual payment requests
- Perform reconciliation of creditor’s accounts and follow up outstanding supplier statement balances.
- Filing of manual creditors invoices & credit notes
- Responsible for receipting and recording of all income that is received
- Prepare receipts for various clients
- Prepare, process and reconciliation of direct debits that are received into the respective operating bank accounts.
- Assistance with petty cash as and when required.
- Process and reconcile bank statements with no outstanding items.
- Ensure end of month and year end procedures are followed.
- Assistance with ad hoc tasks required by the Finance team.
- Daily liaison with service areas and finance team to ensure timely

**Profile**
As an ideal applicant, you will have:

- Relevant Accounts receivable and Accounts payable experience
- Formal qualification in Accounting / Business Studies (Certificate 3 or 4 upwards) (highly desirable)
- Experienced in complex customer billing environments, with past responsibilities
- Proficient in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable duties
- Sound knowledge of operating Accounting Systems
- Sound computer knowledge using Microsoft Packages
- Adaptable and flexible to changing work practices
- Ability to ensure accuracy and attention to detail, managing process requirements in a timely manner.
- Driver’s Licence
- Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
